Affordable

In this economy, everyone is looking for ways to trim their budgets. At Grace, we believe our students shouldn’t have to leave seminary with a degree wrapped in debt. With tuition rates 50% less than the seminary average, Grace strives to provide the highest-quality theological education at a price people can afford.

Accessible

Our students do not have to pack up their families and move to attend seminary. Whether they choose the convenience of our 100% online degree programs or the proximity of one of our teaching sites, the seminary classroom is right where they need it. Grace is a seminary without walls building disciples without limits.

Attainable

We understand how busy life can be and the balancing act required to simultaneously nourish spiritual growth, family, and ministry. That’s why we’ve developed a simple building block system that enables students to pursue their degree at a manageable pace. They get the training they need without sacrificing the ministry they love.

our story

Grace School of Theology had its beginnings in early 2002 when a pastor and lay persons in the Houston area committed themselves to realizing their vision of a local evangelical Christian institution emphasizing free grace. At the encouragement and advice of Dr. Charles Ryrie, Grace School of Theology began as Houston Theological Seminary as the result of the planning and visionary work of seven men who constituted the initial Board of Trustees: Dr. Dave Anderson, Dr. Glenn Darby, Mr. Larry Allbritton, Mr. Mark Rae, Mr. Jeffe Ready, Mr. Bill Diamond, and Mr. Bob Winslow. Of the original seven Trustees, Dr. Dave Anderson now serves as the President of Grace and a member of the Board and Dr. Glenn Darby is Chairman of the current Board of Trustees. Grace is now a global ministry with an international headquarters in Manila and students in more than twenty countries.
