Third Edition
One of the great classics in free grace theology is the book entitled Free Grace Soteriology by Dr. Dave Anderson. This book which was written 20 years ago needed to be updated to meet the challenges of today. It will be available soon through Grace Theology Press. Here’s what you can expect from this new edition.
- Appendix A has been moved to the beginning of the book. It shows how the erroneous teachings of Augustine set forth the ultimate and final requirement for anyone to spend eternity with God: perseverance of the saints. That’s what the Catholics teach today, but it’s also what the Calvinists and the Arminians teach.
- The theological issue of Universalism is addressed in a new chapter.
- Further discussion has been added on the relationship between faith and works, addressing conclusions from authors such as Alan Stanley, Matthew Bates, and D.A. Carson, among others.
